My Cloud Nine is a contemporary events venue located in Adelaide’s CBD, designed for clients seeking something beyond the expected. Confident and architecturally distinctive, the space moves away from generic hospitality cues in favour of a more expressive and intentional experience.

Signage was critical to the brand’s success. Three-dimensional, bevelled typography layered over glazing vinyl gave the venue depth, presence and immediacy. More than wayfinding, the signage acts as an invitation—communicating confidence, clarity and character before guests even step inside.




The starting point for the project was the venue itself. Rather than applying a brand to the space, our approach focused on developing an identity system informed by the architecture — its form, materiality and spatial qualities.
This led to a more integrated design approach, where typography, layout and physical application were considered as part of the environment. Each element was designed to work in dialogue with the space, ensuring the brand felt inherent rather than applied.
With high visibility and varied applications required, the identity needed to be both distinctive and adaptable. We developed the MCIX mark as a custom-built identifier and system, with sculptural geometry that supports flexible use across different formats and scales.
Signage played a central role in the system. Each application was designed to maintain clarity, consistency and recognisability across touchpoints.


The MCIX mark was custom designed as both identifier and system. Its sculptural geometry allows the brand to flex across environments while remaining unmistakably itself—distinctive, expressive and built for longevity rather than trend.
